"Bad Times" is a moody deep-house song by Imael Angel, self-released on 30 March 2026. It sat quietly for months until August, when French creator BOUUH YACHAKA lip-synced it into her phone, eyebrows and all (22M plays), and then posted the version that set the trend: a full-blown "dispute" with the camera, hands on her temples, palms up, a finger at the lens and a lunge right into it (21M plays).
Ben and Zara turned it into a father-and-daughter car duel ("Well that escalated", 44.7M plays), and couples from Cairo to Bogotá copied the fight. From late September the AI versions took over: a black dog standing in the kitchen doing the dispute (894K likes), huskies, Maine Coons, tabby cats and babies in onesies, most of them made from a single photo with a CapCut template.
The Imael Angel Bad Times maker here skips the template. Pick one of the clips, upload a photo, and only the star changes: the gestures, the timing, the room and the song stay exactly as they were.
How to Make an Imael Angel Bad Times Video
- 1
Pick the fight
Choose a clip on the right: BOUUH YACHAKA’s dispute, the car duel, a couple’s argument, a dog, a cat or a baby. The one you pick is the reference for your Imael Angel Bad Times video.
- 2
Upload who argues
One clear photo of your dog, cat, baby or yourself. For the car and couple clips, add a second photo for the person on the right.
- 3
Create and post
Your clip keeps the Bad Times song, so it lands on the sound everyone knows when you post it with #imaelangeltrend or #badtimes.
Who to Put in the Bad Times Dispute
The calmer, the funnier
The joke is a sweet face losing it. A sleepy dog, a fluffy cat or a smiling baby throwing a tantrum at the camera beats another angry adult.
Pets: standing or sitting up
Most pet clips have the animal upright with paws free for the hold-on palms. A photo of your dog or cat sitting up, facing the camera, gives the AI the most to work with.
Match the clip to your photo
A close-up selfie fits the lip-sync and cat clips; a full-body photo fits the kitchen dispute; two photos fit the car and couple clips.
Keep the face clear
Every version ends with a lunge into the lens, so the face fills the frame. Skip sunglasses, hats pulled low and group shots.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Imael Angel Bad Times trend?
A TikTok trend set to Imael Angel’s song "Bad Times": people act it out as a furious argument with the camera, hands on the temples, palms up, a finger at the lens and a lunge into it. The AI version puts a dog, a cat, a baby or anyone else in the fight from one photo.
Who started the Bad Times dispute?
French creator BOUUH YACHAKA (@bouuhyachaka). Her lip-sync of the song on 20 August 2026 and her "DISPUTE" take on 9 September each passed 20M plays, and Ben and Zara’s father-and-daughter car version (44.7M) made it a worldwide trend.
Is Imael Angel a real person?
Yes. Songfacts and Hungarian Wikipedia name Bernadett Gángó, a Hungarian-born Reiki healer living in England, as the person behind Imael Angel. She writes the lyrics and releases the songs on her own label.
Is Imael Angel Bad Times AI?
The music is made with AI. Imael Angel’s own Deezer bio calls the project an artist created with artificial intelligence, and several write-ups name Suno as the tool. Many of the dancing-pet videos on TikTok are AI too, which is why "is it AI" is one of the most searched questions about it.
Who is Imael Angel Bad Times by?
It is by Imael Angel, released on 30 March 2026 as "Bad Times (Deep House)". People also spell it Omael Angel or Ismael Angel when they search for it.
Can I make a Bad Times video with my dog or cat?
Yes, pets are the biggest part of the AI trend. Pick the black dog, a husky, the Maine Coon or the tabby cat clip, upload a clear photo of your pet, and it stands up and argues with the camera to the song.
Can I do the baby version?
Yes. Pick one of the baby clips and upload a photo of your baby facing the camera. The baby points, shrugs and scowls through the whole Imael Angel Bad Times dispute.
Can two people be in it?
Yes. The car and couple clips have two people: add one photo for the left and one for the right, and both are swapped. With one photo, only the person on the left changes.
Does the video keep the Bad Times song?
Yes. A remix keeps the sound of the clip you pick, so your video plays Imael Angel’s Bad Times with the lip sync and gestures on the same beats.

Imael Angel Bad Times AI Prompts
The prompts behind an Imael Angel Bad Times AI video: the remix prompt that swaps the star of one of the clips, and four text prompts for the open generator that write out the dispute beat by beat. They work in any image-to-video model that takes your photo as Image 1.
Your dog or cat
Image 1 is the Arguer, an animal. A vertical 9:16 phone video, camera fixed at chest height in a bright kitchen, full body in frame at first, crisp and real. No text, no captions, no logos. The animal from Image 1 stands upright on its hind legs in the kitchen and acts out a furious argument with whoever is filming while lip-syncing the song: presses both paws to the temples, turns away, raises both palms like "hold on", then storms up to the lens, jabs a finger at it, leans in with wide eyes, throws the paws up and stares the camera down, its mouth opening on the words. Keep the animal’s breed, fur color, markings and eye color exactly as in Image 1. Audio: a moody deep-house track with a woman singing "bad times", no other dialogue.
