Pimpwalk Entrance: Hold the Door, Walk In Like You Own It

The pimpwalk entrance is the hold the door trend of autumn 2026: a friend pulls a shop door open at night, and somebody comes through it in a slow, low, leaned-back pimp walk, drops almost to the floor, then rises into the close-up like they own the place. TikTok has been putting everyone in that doorway — a 1970s dandy, Mr Bean, Walter White, Messi. Pick one of the eleven clips, add a photo of you (and one of the friend on the door, if you like), and the AI redraws you making that entrance, with the original sound still on it.

The pimpwalk entrance, or hold the door trend, is a 15-second scene first posted by @mrdanielkimchi on 17 October 2026: a friend holds a shop door open at night and someone comes through it in a slow, low, leaned-back pimp walk, drops almost to the floor, and rises into the close-up. TikTok turned it into an AI meme — a burger-shop dandy at 592K plays, then Mr Bean, Walter White and Messi in the same doorway — and from 31 October a CapCut template wave. It is still rising: new renders and tutorials land every day, and the two templates add a couple of thousand uses a day.

What Is the Pimpwalk Entrance Trend?

The pimpwalk entrance is one scene in one doorway: a small shop at night with red-trimmed walls. A friend pulls the door open and grooves beside it, and someone comes through in a slow, low, leaned-back pimp walk, drops almost to a crouch, then rises into the close-up. People also call it the hold the door trend.

Nearly every version is AI-made, and the joke is who gets the entrance. The burger-shop dandy in the green velvet jacket made it big; after that TikTok put sisters in golden armour through the door, then the celebrity set — Mr Bean, Walter White holding the door, Gus Fring, Messi — under the name “pimpwalk into barbershop”. Same doorway, same walk, same sound, a new person each time.

The pimp walk itself is much older: the exaggerated strut from 1970s films, and the GIFs Google still shows for “pimp walk entrance”. The 2026 version is not a dance anyone has to learn. It is an entrance someone else is made to do, which is why it works best on the people least likely to walk like that — your dad, your boss, your dog.

The CapCut templates paste a face into one fixed render. Here you pick which of the eleven clips you want to walk through, add your photo, and an image-to-video model redraws you making that clip’s entrance in that clip’s doorway, with the friend on the door, the timing and the original sound kept. Add a second photo and the door holder becomes your friend too.

Timeline

  1. @mrdanielkimchi posts the scene: a man in a tank top and chains holds the door of a fast-food shop, and a figure in a shiny blue suit and a fedora pimp-walks through it, low and slow, then rises with a red card by his face. His sound carries everything after it.

  2. The AI creator @mrmiltonfrost posts his take: a 1970s dandy with big ginger hair and a green velvet jacket walking into a burger shop while a white-haired friend holds the door. It becomes the biggest post of the trend, 592K plays and 28K likes.

  3. @thegurst puts two sisters in green and gold costumes through the same doorway, 192K plays: the scene is now a format, not one clip.

  4. The CapCut wave starts: “How to make the viral doorway entrance pimpwalk hold the door trend” posts, a render followed by a screen-recorded tutorial, appear across US template accounts.

  5. A second account calls it “pimpwalk into barbershop” and runs Gus Fring, Mr Bean, Walter White and Messi through the doorway; the top one reaches 361K plays.

  6. The two CapCut templates stand at 8,387 and 4,694 uses, the sound at 511 videos, and the biggest tutorial post at 442K plays — all of it inside three days.

How to Make a Pimpwalk Entrance Video With Your Photo

  1. 1

    Pick the entrance you want

The burger-shop dandy runs the full fifteen seconds, the barbershop takes are ten, and the tutorial cuts are four-second bursts of just the strut. Pick by length and by who is on the door: the clip keeps its door holder unless you add a second photo.

  2. 2

Upload one photo, head to toe if you can

One clear photo of the person who walks in, face lit, the whole outfit visible. The walk is all knees and shoulders, so a full-length photo gives the model the most to work with; a waist-up photo still works. Add a second photo of the friend who should hold the door.

  3. 3

Create it and post it with the sound

You get the person from your photo making the entrance at the clip’s length with the original sound already on it. Post it with #pimpwalkentrance and #holdthedoor, and caption it with the place they are walking into: “me walking into the barbershop”, “dad entering the family BBQ”, “first day back at work”.

Tips for a Better Pimpwalk Entrance Video

Full length wins

The whole entrance happens below the chest: bent knees, the drop to a crouch, the rise. A photo cut off at the shoulders leaves the model inventing the legs, and that is where the walk stops looking like a walk.

Dress for the entrance

The model keeps the clothes from your photo. A suit, a loud shirt or a fur coat sells the strut; a grey hoodie makes it funnier. Either is a choice — just make it on purpose.

Two photos for two people

With one photo, the clip keeps its own door holder. If you want your friend on the door, add them as a second photo, one person per photo. A group photo leaves the model to guess who walks and who holds.

Short clips for the strut, long for the story

The four-second tutorial cuts are only the walk itself and render fast. The burger-shop and the original run fifteen seconds with the door opening, the strut and the close-up, which is the version people recognise.

Watch the close-up

The last second is a face filling the frame, so a soft or filtered photo shows there first. Use a sharp photo with no sunglasses and no beauty filter, and run it again if the face drifts.

        Frequently Asked Questions

What is the pimpwalk entrance trend?

A TikTok meme from October 2026: a friend holds a shop door open at night and someone walks in with a slow, low, leaned-back pimp walk, drops almost to the floor, then rises into the close-up. Every version is the same doorway with a different person making the entrance.

        Who started the pimpwalk entrance?

@mrdanielkimchi posted the first clip of the door scene on 17 October 2026, and his sound is the one the trend uses. The post that made it big is @mrmiltonfrost’s burger-shop dandy from 25 October, at 592K plays.

What song is the pimpwalk entrance?

TikTok lists it as “original sound - mrdanielkimchi”, the audio from his 17 October clip; 511 videos use it. Search that name on TikTok, or open the sound from any clip on this page.

Is it the same as the hold the door trend?

Yes, “hold the door trend”, “doorway entrance trend” and “pimpwalk entrance hold the door” are the names the CapCut tutorials use for this scene. Older hold-the-door videos on TikTok — the Game of Thrones line, the door-closing pranks — are different memes.

What is the pimpwalk barbershop trend?

The same scene, captioned as walking into the barbershop. A template account named it that on 1 November and ran Gus Fring, Mr Bean, Walter White and Messi through the doorway; the top one has 361K plays. Four of those takes are on this page.

Is this the same as “then I walk in”?

No. “Then I walk in” is a deadpan selfie walk towards the camera with the words on screen. The pimpwalk entrance is a two-person scene at a shop door: one holds it, one struts in.

Can I put my friend on the door?

Yes. Add a second photo and the friend holding the door becomes that person; with one photo the clip keeps its own door holder.

Can my pet do the pimpwalk entrance?

Yes. Use one clear photo of the animal, face in view, and pick the pet prompt or any clip. It comes back walking in upright, which is the joke.

        How long is the video?

As long as the clip you pick: four seconds for the tutorial cuts, ten for the barbershop takes, fifteen for the burger-shop and the original. The price is one use either way.

What is the Pimpwalk Entrance AI prompt?

The clip you pick prompt is in the AI Prompts section below. It starts: "Night, the doorway of a small fast-food shop with red-trimmed cream walls and a black doormat, camera at chest height inside the shop." Paste the rest into any AI video tool that accepts your photos.

        Somebody Hold the Door

One photo, one doorway, and the slowest, lowest entrance anyone has ever made into a fast-food shop: your pimpwalk entrance video, with the sound.

        Make my pimpwalk entrance

        Pimpwalk Entrance AI Prompts

The prompts behind the versions on this page: the clip you pick, you and the door holder, the 1970s suit, the barbershop entrance and the pet version. Each works in any image-to-video model that takes a reference photo and a reference clip, and each keeps the doorway, the walk and the timing where the reference has them.

        Clip you pick

Night, the doorway of a small fast-food shop with red-trimmed cream walls and a black doormat, camera at chest height inside the shop. Image 1 is the person who makes the entrance. If there is an Image 2, that person is the friend holding the door; with one photo, keep the friend from the reference. The friend pulls the shop door open and grooves beside it. The walker comes through the doorway in a slow, low, leaned-back pimp walk: knees bent, shoulders rolling, one hand swinging low, dropping almost to a crouch on the doormat, then rising up into the close-up with a red card held up by the face. Keep the doorway, the red trim on the walls, the night outside the glass, the camera angle, the framing, the timing and the cut points exactly as in the reference. Do not add people or change the room. Audio: the reference clip's original sound, nothing else.
