I Lost You In The Crowd Trend: Put Both of You in the Club

One of you leans on the balcony rail of a packed club and looks down; the camera tips over their shoulder, and a white spotlight finds the other one standing in the crowd, looking up. That is the whole clip, and it is the scene from Tres metros sobre el cielo that Spanish TikTok has been remaking with its own couples for a month. Pick the version you want below, add a photo of each of you, and the AI puts you both in that club, that light and that cut, with the sound already on it.

TL;DR

At its peak · as of

I lost you in the crowd is the two-photo trend that rebuilds one scene from Tres metros sobre el cielo, the 2010 Spanish teen film: one of a couple looks down from a club balcony, the camera tips over their shoulder, and a white spotlight finds the other in the crowd. In Spanish it is te he perdido entre la gente, and on TikTok the audio every post runs on has 13.5K videos and takes around 465 new ones a day. It peaked in the second week of October — the biggest clip, Norbit and Rasputia, did 1.9M plays — and it is still being posted daily.

What Is the I Lost You In the Crowd Trend?

It is one club scene, remade with your own people: fifteen seconds, three shots, no dialogue. Someone leans on the balcony rail above a packed dance floor and looks down; the camera tips over their shoulder to the crowd in blue light; a hard white spotlight finds one person standing on the floor, hands on their thighs, looking up.

The whole thing is the gap between the two of them, and the shots are always in that order — balcony, over the shoulder, spotlight — because that is how the scene was cut the first time. Everything else in it is somebody’s own: the two faces, and the joke they are standing in.

The scene is the one everybody credits to Tres metros sobre el cielo, the 2010 Spanish teen film, and in Spanish the trend is named for what the scene is about: te he perdido entre la gente, “I have lost you among the people”. The music under it is the film’s club song, “La tormenta de arena” by the Spanish band Dorian, from their 2009 album La ciudad subterránea; on TikTok the audio is listed as “original sound - strategiasily”, the account that posted the fifteen-second cut on 3 October 2026, and that one sound is where 13.5K of the videos live.

What made it travel is that the format needs two photos and nothing else, and the two photos do two different jobs: one is a face on a balcony, the other is a face in a crowd. So the joke scales to anything with two of something — a couple, two friends, a parent and a child, two dogs, or a person and a cartoon character they belong with. That is why the biggest clip of the trend is Norbit and Rasputia at 1.9M plays and why a garden gnome stands in for the second person at 1.2M: the scene is fixed, and what you swap into it is the whole joke.

By the numbers it is a template trend rather than a hashtag trend. #teheperdidoentrelagente holds 4,586 videos and 60.6M views, and the English hashtag #ilostyouinthecrowd only 82 videos since it was created on 3 October — but the sound has 13,586 videos and the CapCut template “Meters Above Heaven” 343,530 uses, with a second template, “Ai trend”, at 64,041. Most people who make one never post it, or post it without the hashtag, which is why the totals look lopsided.

Our version is not the template. The template cuts your face out of a photo and pastes it onto a fixed clip, so the body, the clothes and the way the person turns are always the same, and the second person is whoever the template had. This page sends the reference clip and your two photos to an image-to-video model, which redraws both of you doing those three shots in that light, keeps your own clothes and build, keeps the sound, and does it at the clip’s own length. That is why the pet slot works, why one photo is enough for a solo version, and why two photos of two real people come back looking like those two people.

Three searches sit next to this one and they are not the same page. “I found you in the crowd” is the same clip with the ending turned happy — the spotlight finds them and they are reunited — and it is written through this page rather than split off. “3 meters above the sky trend” is the film’s own edits: scenes from the actual movie, no AI, no photo of yours. And “lost in the crowd” on its own is mostly a hoodie and a book by that name, which is why the page always keeps the “i lost you” in front of it.

Timeline

  1. The CapCut template “Meters Above Heaven” goes up: three shots, a balcony over a dance floor, a spotlight, and your face pasted into it. It has been used 343,530 times since, and a second template, “Ai trend”, another 64,041.

  2. @bolivianofrances posts the first clip of the trend under #teheperdidoentrelagente — two men in blue polos, one on the balcony, one in the crowd — 577.5K plays.

  3. The audio the whole trend ends up running on is posted: “original sound - strategiasily”, a fifteen-second cut of the scene. 13,586 videos use it now, and the hashtag #ilostyouinthecrowd is created the same day.

  4. @bolivianofrances posts Norbit and Rasputia in the same scene: 1.9M plays and 142.7K likes, the most-watched and most-liked clip of the trend.

  5. The peak week: a boy and a garden gnome reaches 1.2M plays for @ivan_lumbreras, @verogc5270’s denim-shirt couple 1.3M, and Tiff and Chucky 916.7K. Characters, cartoons, footballers and pets all get the same three shots.

  6. The English side opens: how-to posts with English captions (“this i’ve lost you in the crowd trend is blowing up”) start appearing, and the searches switch to i lost you in the crowd trend, i lost you in the crowd original and i lost you in the crowd ai tutorial.

  7. Still going at a lower level: the template is taking a few hundred uses a day, new posts land between 50K and 450K plays, and the sound sits at 13.5K videos. The big posts are all from 1–17 October.

How to Make an I Lost You In the Crowd Video With Two Photos

  1. 1

Pick the clip you want to be in

The couple in the denim shirt, Norbit and Rasputia, the gnome, Chucky, the two dogs. The clip decides the light, the crowd, the length and the sound, and the three shots land where they land in that clip — so pick the one whose ending you want.

  2. 2

Add one photo each, in the right order

Image 1 is the one on the balcony: a clear photo of the face, camera-facing, and the outfit you want to be wearing, because the model keeps the clothes. Image 2 is the one in the spotlight: face up, it will be seen from above and from a distance, so take it in good light. For the pet version, both slots are pets; for a solo version, only Image 1.

  3. 3

    Make it, then post it

The render keeps the clip’s sound and comes back vertical with no watermark, ready for TikTok, Reels or Shorts. Post it as AI — the scene is generated and the crowd is not real — and tag it #ilostyouinthecrowd, #teheperdidoentrelagente or #3msc, which is where the copies are being counted.

What Makes the Club Scene Land

Order is the whole trick

Whichever photo goes in first is the one on the balcony, looking down; the second is the one found on the floor. Get them the wrong way round and you both end up in the wrong half of the scene, which reads as a mistake rather than a choice.

Take the balcony photo straight on

That person is seen face-on in a slow push-in for the first five seconds, so a photo where the face is turned away or half in shadow is the one part of the clip that will wobble. Chest-up, even light, eyes to the camera.

For the spotlight, a whole head and shoulders

The second person is seen small on the dance floor and then close from above. A photo where the head is cropped, or where they are in a group, makes the model invent a body — a clean solo shot keeps the clothes and the build.

Pets work because the scene does not care

The two dogs version is the proof: a Jack Russell on the bar rail and a white bichon under the light, remixed from two pet photos. Use photos where the whole animal is in the frame and its markings show, and put the one you want on the balcony first.

Keep the sound

The fifteen-second audio is the reason the clip reads as this trend rather than a club scene. Every sample on this page is remixed with its own sound on it, so you do not add music afterwards.

        Frequently Asked Questions

Who originally started the i lost you in the crowd trend?

The format came from a CapCut template — “Meters Above Heaven”, posted on 29 September 2026 — and the first post of the trend itself is @bolivianofrances on 1 October 2026. The audio nearly everyone uses, “original sound - strategiasily”, went up on 3 October and now has 13,586 videos.

Is i lost you in the crowd from a movie?

The scene is the one credited to Tres metros sobre el cielo, a 2010 Spanish teen film, and the song under it is “La tormenta de arena” by the Spanish band Dorian, from 2009, which is on that film’s soundtrack. The clip people remake is a rebuilt version of the club scene rather than footage lifted from the film: the crowd, the balcony and the spotlight in these posts are generated.

What does “te he perdido entre la gente” mean?

“I have lost you among the people” — the Spanish name of the trend, and what the scene is about: one of a couple is up on a balcony, the other is somewhere in a packed club, and the spotlight has to find them. In English the same clip is searched as i lost you in the crowd, i found you in the crowd and 3 meters above the sky trend.

What is the difference between i lost you and i found you in the crowd?

Nothing in the footage: same club, same balcony, same spotlight. “I lost you in the crowd” is the name the trend runs under on TikTok, and “I found you in the crowd” is the same clip with the ending read as a reunion, which is what some of the English versions title it. This page makes both from the same two photos — the difference is only the caption you put on it.

Can I make it with one photo?

Yes, and it gives you the balcony half only: you look down at the crowd and the spotlight finds a stranger, which is the version people make when they want the scene without a second person. Add the second photo and the person in the spotlight becomes whoever you chose, which is what the trend is usually about.

Can I put my pets in it?

Yes. Both slots take pets: the one on the balcony is the Jack Russell in the sample, the one under the spotlight the white bichon. Use two clear photos, one animal each, whole head in frame, and the model keeps the species, the coat and the markings rather than turning them into people.

What is the I Lost You In The Crowd Trend AI prompt?

The couple prompt is in the AI Prompts section below. It starts: "A packed club at night, blue light, a lit bar behind the balcony rail." Paste the rest into any AI video tool that accepts your photos.

Two photos, and you are both in that club

One photo on the balcony, one in the crowd, and the sound does the rest. Start with the free credit, and post it while the sound is still at the top of the feed.

The prompt below each version is the one this page sends, with the images cited as @Image1 and @Image2 and the clip as @Video1. Copy one into any image-to-video tool that accepts a reference video and your photos; the first is the two-of-you version and fills the box on this page.

        Couple

A packed club at night, blue light, a lit bar behind the balcony rail. Shot one: the one from Image 1 leans on the rail of a high balcony over a packed club, the bar and the guests behind them, and the camera pushes slowly into their face. Shot two: from behind them, over their shoulder, the camera looks down past them at the dance floor in deep blue light. Shot three: a white spotlight picks out the one from Image 2 standing in the middle of the crowd, hands on their thighs, and they look up into the camera. Image 1 is the one on the balcony, arms folded on the steel rail, looking down into the camera; Image 2 is the one the spotlight finds on the dance floor below, looking up. Keep the face shape, eye colour, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, hair and build of each photo exactly as they are, and the clothes they are wearing, so both are plainly themselves. Keep each of them in their own role for the whole clip: the balcony and the spotlight never swap. A night club at night, blue light on the crowd, a lit bar behind the balcony rail, dozens of strangers on the dance floor, one hard white spotlight. Vertical 9:16 phone video, cinematic, shallow depth of field, photoreal. Keep the place, the light and the original sound of the reference clip. No text, no captions, no logos, no watermark.
